This medicines action is though today we say limited as an anti emetic, in future it is possible that we may notice more broad action as we have not tried it in many other diseases, because Mellissa officinalis has been today considered as one of the most useful pharmaceutical herb in many way, which is used in S11 in major quantity. Actually, modern research has shown that some of the volatile oils in lemon balm, namely citral and citronellal, have a calming effect on the central nervous system and are antispasmodic. Also, some of the polyphenols in lemon balm are anti-viral in activity and have been shown to reduce the duration of cold sores and to increase the time between cold sore outbreaks and Mellissa is used successfully in cases of STRESS.

One more new medicinal plant used in S11 is Lobelia inflata, It may be noted that since time immemorial people have used the Lobelia Inflata plant as an entheogen with a view to bring on a spiritual experience. Penobscots, a member of the indigenous North American Indian population, have used this plant extensively. In addition, Lobelia Inflata was also commonly used in New England even prior to the era of Samuel Thomson, who is known to have discovered the plant. In fact, the Lobelia Inflata plant, also known as Indian tobacco is still in use in many parts of the world. The seed is the most potent part of this plant since it encloses most of the substance called lobeline, the key element that provides the plant with its psychoactive (the aptitude of a substance to bring about intense effect on mental processes) attributes.

Homeopathically it is a vasomotor stimulant; increases the activity of all vegetative processes; spends its force mainly upon the pneumogastric nerve, producing a depressed relaxed condition with oppression of the chest and epigastrium, impeded respiration, nausea and vomiting. Languor, relaxation of muscles, Nausea, vomiting and dyspepsia are the general indications that point to the use of this remedy, in asthma and gastric affections, best adapted to light-complexioned fleshy people, bad effects of drunkenness, Suppressed discharges, etc.

Lobelia inflata has also been successfully used in case with history of vomiting homeopathically since Hanemannian times. S11 (ANTI- MAL- DE- MAR ) today should not be kept limited as an anti-emetic, its other mode of actions is also to be noted and new research is expected to be done on this remedy.
