And of course Mattei has taken the benefits of the action of these medicinal plant and placed it Pettoral group of medicines and the amount of it is same in them that is 10%. The most useful plant in pulmonary affection, especially in catarrhal affection of the bronchial mucus membrane, bronchorrhoea, also said to be successful in tubular and hectic fevers with profuse, exhaustive sweats, and in asthma of debilitated anemia, having dyspnoea and palpitation. Another most popular remedy added in P group is Allium cepa, which is used many ailments but primarialy its action on Coryza with acrid discharge is appreciated bt homeopathic practitioners, It’s action is on naso-pharynx to larynx and with the help of this herb’s tincture many complaints of respiratory system is treated among them-profuse and acrid coryza, hey fever with watery nasal flow, even the cases of cough, dry hoarse cough. The third plant is Ipecac, as we know it is also one of the chief remedy used in the irritatvive sort of respiratory disorders that’s how it is said as nervous pulmonary remedy, which reduces whooping cough and anxiou cough also comes under its inluence.-Spasmodic cough, Dyspnoea and the constiction of the asthematic type.

Here come the fouth medicinal plant that is Phellandrium aquaticum, again one of the great pulmonary medicine, used in chronic bronchial catarrh, with profuse expectoration when weather affects the subject early morning and evening the cough starts and irritation begins of couse it is most successfully used in such cases,even in cold seasons this remedy is called for, useful in very offensive expectoration that is found like in tuberculosis, and over all it can be called as neuro-pulmonic renedy. The fifth remedy is Polygala amara, its action also a little bit same as mentioned above. And Adianthum, which is also useful commonly in Flu, Colds, Bronchitis etc. Finally what we can conclude with its contents and ingredients that P1 is a chief and general remedy for respiratory disorders from allergic rhinitis to pneumonitis.

And as we know the chief four remedies of pettorals groups are P1, P2,P3 and P4. If you know exactly what is action of P1, naturally you will notice by composition of P2,P3,P4 how specific the designer made them-for instance if we take P4 we will see-ith the above mentioned medicinal plants Mattei placed F1 and Arnica montana in it. So that it can became more nervous pulmonary remedy, that can be used where pulmo-vagal irritation is more and can be successfully used in old aged asthmatic cases that origins in this way-specific for-nervous asthma, spasmodic cough, whooping cough etc.

And with above properties  what we conclude is as below P1 possesses the most general influences on the totality of the respiratory organs: windpipes, bronchi, capillaries of the bronchus and air cells of the lungs. Accordingly it may be given for all kinds of coughs, bronchial and pulmonary catarrh, with and without expectoration, hepatisation of the lungs,difficulty in breathing either resulting from obstruction of the respiratory passages ,with mucus or dilatation of the pulmonary aircell: further for inflammation of the lungs and quinsy, and the first stages of tuberculosis,as long as the expectoration is not discoloured and malodorous.

FIRST DILUTION: Useful acute and dry cough.Also for pleurisy and bronchitis.

SECOND DILUTION: Useful for chronic affections in subduing cough. Also for Ashma, alternated with S1,C1 and A1 or A3. Bronchitis (chronic),Croup, influenza, Laryngitis Pneumonia with A2 and F1, Simple cough, Whooping cough

THIRD DILUTION: Useful for chronic cases in subduing cough as for instance Bronchitis,

DRY GLOBULES: Promote secretion of the bronchlal mucous membrane and loosens the phlegm and so  useful in relieving dry cough.
