Aanti-phlogest, refrigerant, hypnotic, anti-spasmodic, cholagogue.
Pharmacology:
Febrifugo-2 acts similar to Febrifugo-1. It acts mostly on the peripheral nervous system. Mainly it is to be applied externally in the form of compress, lotion, bath, ointments, etc., to the respective parts of the body in the cases of neuralgia, cutaneous itching, irritations, sensitiveness, spasm, convulsions etc., along with other internal remedies. Primarily, it acts on the spleen and then secondarily on the liver, and gall bladder, whereas Febrifugo-1 acts first on the liver and gall bladder and then on the spleen.
In obstinate and chronic disease when Febrifugo-1 fails Febrifugo-2 works in a better way when applied internally as well as externally. It acts nicely in cases of indurations, exuberances, abscess or cancer of the liver and gall bladder and spleen. It also removes the abnormality in spleen, liver and gall bladder, resulting from malaria, tropical fever, intermittent fever and as well as due to the abuse of quinine. It is especially suited for cutaneous ailments instead of Febrifugo-1.
